Re-establishing our presence and strengthening our community bonds.
Kumba being the closest town to Nguti has several ex-students from Nguti who for diverse reasons are not yet interested to join, but we are trying to get them to see reason to belong.
Due to the busy schedule of members, we reduced the frequency of meetings to once a month (every first Wednesday) with a small Njangi of 15,000frs per member.
We are looking forward to creating a sinking fund which will act as an empowerment scheme for any envisaged projects.
At every sitting, we have a slot to recall our memories of the time spent in Nguti, including the dancing styles we exhibited in Rita Heaven and Sabado bars.
While playing the Njangi, there is a token set aside by every member to take care of the refreshment for that day.
It's now becoming a tradition that any member who has recorded any achievement in the family circle (child's academic success, promotion, etc.) gives a double round of drinks willingly.
We are also thinking of coming out with a uniform for the chapter to help easily identify us and act as a growth strategy.
All of this is to encourage growth, solidarity, and love among members and would-be members.
